2,168 addresses for the 2,649 who graduated, (which means that I only missed
581 addresses - some of whom are deceased); plus over 300 addresses for
those who graduated East Burke in 1975, 1976 and 1977. This is the first and
only time the graduates have been listed and addresses sought for so many of
us.

Also included is a short history and time line of the schools in and around
Valdese plus a history by Catherine Dalmas and Rosalba Pascal Shook on how
the Valdese Graded School (Old Rock School) came into being. School started
on the second floor in 1923, and the front steps and basement were finished
within the next two years.
