The Valdese Football Booster Club along with several members of the community is in the development stages of constructing a field house facility at the old high school football field. The facility will consist of a concession area, men/women restrooms and press box enclosed in an 18'x20' structure. It will be located at midpoint (50 yard line) inside of the walking track on the Old Rock School side. The architectural design will be consistent with the Rock School motif. The facility will in no way disturb the walking track or play area for the Elementary School. The restrooms will be available during the morning, afternoon and early evening hours and the Town of Valdese will maintain building and grounds The facility will be available for school and public use year round with the exception of Saturday morning football games. It will be an enhancement to many activities that take place on and around the football field. We are very excited about this project and are soliciting your help. As we are a non-profit organization, we don not qualify for financial aid. Therefore, we are asking for the donation of money and/or building materials to complete the project. The expected cost of the project is $20,000.00. Our coaching staff and fans have volunteered the labor. Our goal is to have the field house ready for the upcoming fall season. We will schedule a dedication ceremony to honor the memory of Michael Morse and plan to name the facility the Michael Morse Field House as this unanimously decided by our football players and coaches late last year. We would greatly appreciate any size donation and would like to remind you that all donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions contact Ellen Schultz at 879-5627. All plans have been approved by the Burke County Education System County Office and the Town of Valdese. Thanks for your support! Ellen Schultz
